Vasectomy pain and after effect?

ive had a vascetomy a week ago for three days i took it easy most of the time..now up and moving around better but with pian, soreness or something.. should i still use ice pack, is this normal.. plus, it dont help when everyone else says, they were fine and back to normal the next day..
