What's the difference in Dark Spot Giraffes an Light spotted Giraffes?

Fossil Rim Wild Life Game Preserve in Glen Rose Texas has a couple Light Spotted Giraffes and one Dark Spotted one. I was just wondering if this was because they were from different regions.
