Having problems with being overly hot and cold while on hormonal treatment. Don't know why.?

I had a full hysterectomy months ago. I'm on a hormone treatment (a patch) and am still having problems with being overly hot and chilled. I'm changing my patch about every three days. I'm finding that it really only helps me for about a day. I'm having other issues with it too. Has anyone had this problem? I thought the patch was supposed to help.
