What is the best dog you have ever had/have?

I had a Shar pei and he was well behaved and mild mannered. However, currently I have a Yorkie puppy and he isn't that well behaved but he is learning and progressing and that makes him a great dog to me. I love when he learns something new and progress, that makes me feel great knowing that my training and hard work is paying off. So I wouldn't say breed matters, just some dogs are trained easily than others. Also, both were males.
