You should apologize... if you want to spend the rest of your relationship for apologizing for his bad behavior. Then when you find out he's cheating on you, you should apologize for making him do that. Does that make sense to you? You have to value yourself before you can expect anyone to value you. Respect isn't something we wait and pray for it's something we demand and if we don't get it we leave that person in the dust because they are so not worth it.
