Gallbladder Problem Symptoms??

I had a friend who told me that she had pain and couldn't eat anything but bread products for a month because she had a bad gallbladder and couldn't stomach anything (no meat or anything greasy). Now after having it removed she says that she now has chronic problems staying awake and will suddenly fall asleep and so can't drive very long before she gets too tired and complains, even though it was months ago since it was removed. Is it possible to have symptoms like this because of a bad gallbladder and having it removed??? She's someone that seems to exaggerate and try to make things worse and wants sympathy so I was just wondering if this was even a possible side-effect of having a bad gall-bladder.
