Dolly Parton Wows Rotherham!!; but why did Radio 4's PM/London-based media treat it like a circus...?

...even the - er - Independent, stating Parton was 'bizarrely' in town. Yesterday, the announcer on Radio 4's PM spat out the name 'Rotherham' like it was a hot spud...okay - it might be argued the press might elicit the same attitude if she popped up in, say, Croydon, or Watford (two wee towns most Londoners wished were not within the M25...but there you go). What on Earth did the Londoncentric press expected would have happened to her in the South Yorkshire town? Perhaps people in Holland Park, Chelsea/Fulham, and the liberal areas of NW3 (Hampstead, ect) and N1 (Islington) - who control the media were somewhat pee'd off. Let's hope on her way back home to the US she understands more the cl-orientated morons who's publications we read day in and day out.
